As I write this, we are eight days away from Christmas Day. Our rhythm this year is a bit different as a family, but the last few days, I’ve been trying to perceive this season through the eyes of a child. Children can teach us a lot about the season in how they see, anticipate, long for, show excitement, etc.
It took me back to my childhood to what I felt and experienced in wanting to get through all the “boring” stuff and straight to the presents. I’m sure my bottled-up energy could be a bit much for those around me, but as an adult, I do not want to lose that upcoming thrill of what the season offers.
How could your perspective change this season through the eyes of a child?
